About 4 years ago at this time me, my hubby, and D

About 4 years ago at this time me, my hubby, and Dad sat down and talked about my career. I had been doing corporate design and marketing for nearly 20 years at that point, but I was not happy. However, leaving that security and safety to do something that may fail miserably, that was scary. These two fellas stood in my corner and gave me the courage to take that leap. So in November of 2019 I quit my corporate job and in January of 2020 we opened JC Boutique. Covid hit in March.

Needless to say our first year or two were rollercoasters, but again, these two fellas had my back. We survived and we thrived, and we expanded into a bigger space where I could teach, and offer more beautiful things and when SuperBowl madness hit, this duo showed up in full force. Whenever I needed them, they always were there. They are the behind the scenes silent partners of this place and without them, I wouldn’t be writing this post.

I also wouldn’t be without all of you. Back in August we asked you to vote for us. We were nominated in 3 categories and you guys showed up and I am so proud to say that that the 2023 Cincinnati’s Best Choice Awards for BEST BOUTIQUE -AND- ARTS & CRAFTS STORE goes to JC Boutique! And we came in 2nd place for Best Home Goods/Decor!

Today is bittersweet for me. Neither of my parents are here to see this moment, the first of many I’ll have to navigate without them. And it’s so hard. But if they were, I know they would be just as happy and proud as we are. I have amazing family and friends, all of whom have helped along the way. Some of the best artisans who have been on this journey with me from the start, And clearly the BEST customers around! Thank you to everyone who has supported this dream of mine. You all have played a part in our success and I am deeply grateful. We love you ALL!!
